DR FARROQI WAS EXTREMELY PATIENT WITH US.HE SPENT A FAIR BIT OF TIME EXPLAINING MY CONDITION IN GREAT DETAILS AND THIS HAS HELPED ME A LOT IN TERMS OF UNDERSTANDING MY MEDICAL CONDITION.
AT TIMES THE IMPRESSION I GET FROM SEEING CONSULTANTS PRIVATELY IS I COULD NOT SAY IF I COULD TRUST THEM 100%.I DID NOT FEEL THAT WAS THE CASE WITH DR FAROOQI WHOM I FELT WAS GENUINELY PROVIDING ME WITH GOOD ADVICES AS WELL AS THE BEST COURSE OF ACTION IN TERMS OF THE BEST WAY FORWARD.
IT WAS REFRESHING COMING ACROSS DR FAROOQI TODAY..

I found Dr Varooqui to be very through in the assessment of my condition, no stone was left un-turned, he explained everything to me in a way that I would understand and answered all my questions and queries throughly . He kept my local GP and myself very well informed. I found him very polite and a calm man and a great Doctor and I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Dr Farooqi is one of the most professional consultants I have ever had to see. He listens well and took his time and great care in explaining. From the moment I met him he makes you feel at ease and comfortable.

On the two occasions I have met Dr Farooqi he has made me feel comfortable in asking questions. He always explained the findings of my test results so that I felt he knew and understood how anxious I was.

I am an award winning General Consultant Cardiologist with a special interest in pacemaker devices and heart failure. I am also the Group Clinical Director for Medicine at Barking, Havering and Redbridge NHS Trust. I have over 20 years experience in the management and investigation of all aspects of general adult cardiology including chest pain, palpitations, shortness of breath, blackouts (syncope), hypertension and arrhythmias.
I qualified in 1997 at the renowned United Medical and Dental School of Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals, University of London and completed my specialty training in the London and Kent, Surrey and Sussex Deaneries. I was appointed NHS Consultant in Cardiology at King George Hospital, Essex in 2012 and Honorary Consultant at Barts Heart Centre in London. I was Cardiology Clinical Lead from September 2019 to February 2023 and have since been promoted to Group Clinical Director of Medicine at BHRUT
